After a combined 100+ years of dedication to the industry, we are announcing our retirement (Kim and Len), and subsequently the closure of ECMT. Although this decision has been long anticipated and repeatedly postponed, it has not been made lightly, as, like many of you this industry is truly a huge part of our lives!
Len’s career spanned 25 years as a fisherman and vessel owner before joining ECMT as an instructor in 1992, and Kim’s involvement began in 1980 with the Hull Fishing Vessel Owners which evolved into the role of Training Manager in 1990, a position she has held ever since.
Throughout our careers, we’ve had the privilege of working with countless individuals, including vessel owners, skippers, crew members and trainees. This has been made possible thanks to vessel owners, Seafish, MCA and all our funders. We are deeply grateful for the relationships we’ve built and the support we’ve received along the way. Your trust and collaboration have been the foundation of our success!
We wish each of you continued success and fulfilment in all your endeavours. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey and for the memories we will cherish forever!
